Indian Senior Citizens Centre New Website Launch

Indian Senior Citizens Centre (ISCC) is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new website. The new website features a comprehensive list of visual and technical enhancements performed by a local design agency, Blue Whale Media.

The Indian Senior Citizens Centre is a Registered Charity, which provides culturally sensitive Day Resource Services for Indian Older People within Manchester, Trafford, Stockport, Bury and Salford. The charity started operating in 1983 in Withington (Gandhi Hall) and was then established in 1988. After running as a voluntary organisation for nine years, the ISCC was recognized by the Local Authority and Health Authority in 1992.

The new website for ISCC features a new and wide variety of usability improvements for mobile users, increase website speed to decrease load times, a design suited for ease of access to vital information, The biggest improvement is the modern, colourful, and attractive overhaul for the website design.

The ISCC has a present membership of 450 people and the daily average attendance is between 100 and 120 people. The charity’s main aim is to provide culturally sensitive Day Resource services, including a lunch club, recreational facilities, social activities, entertainment games, preventative health care, rehabilitation facilities, and more. Dr. Das founded the ISCC in the late 1980s after a lifetime of work as a geriatric specialist in Manchester. He ‘retired’ in 1990, but more than ten years on, he still works tirelessly to improve and support the lives of the elders within the community, who he cares so much about.

The local design agency, Blue Whale Media, who have redesigned the ISCC’s new website, have made information more accessible for users as well as placing more emphasis on a better cross-device user experience. This will help the people within the ISCC’s community to keep track of their news, events and much more.

The new website has been launched in 2021; the main aim for the new website is to ensure that visitors are getting the best browsing experience possible, This has been achieved by making content more accessible on the website, improving usability across multiple devices, updating their content site-wide. The website also placed a big emphasis on showcasing what the ISCC does best by redesigning the layout, style, images used and the way information is presented.
